Current Outstanding Planning Applications in our Parishes: 10/01722 - Demolition of existing sheds and containers. Construction of a garage workshop. 5, New Road, Elmley Castle 10/01642 - Proposed building for the storage of machinery and hay. Land at Field Cottage, Hill lane, Elmley Castle 10/01592 - Erection of two storey building to be used for 8 letting rooms ancillary to the public house. The Queen Elizabeth, Main Street, Elmley Castle The Parish Council, by majority, voted to object to this application because:- 1. The size and massing appearance of the two storey building in the heart of the conservation area was felt to be overpowering to neighbours and the area. 2.There was concern about the possibility of external lighting which was felt to be not in keeping with the generally non lit ambience of the village. 3.There was considerable concern that if this facility, which was generally felt to be of benefit to the community and to tourism, were to be built as applied for, then there would be a reduction of parking available and this would inevitably cause additional parking in the square and the main street. 4. The Parish Council were concerned to protect this building, if it were to obtain planning consent, from being sold seperately from the public house and should remain as business use only within one heraditament. 10/01511 - Erection of single storey side extension, two storey rear extension and internal alterations to form bedroom. Stewards House, Hill Lane, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. 10/01413 - Rear first floor extension. 2 Cornmill Close, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. 10/01223 - Two storey side extension to existing dwelling with attic storage and bathroom. Middle Farm, Kersoe, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. 10/00879 - Essential rural workers dwelling at horticultural nurseries. Wayside Nurseries, New Road, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. 10/00069 - Certificate of lawfulness for existing use of land and building for storage of building materials and parking, loading and unloading and access over existing farm drive. Hall Farm, Bricklehampton The Parish Council has no objection to this application.  |

WDC - APPROVED 10/01019 - Alterations to existing garage to form workshop with new door and 2 new windows. Woodmans Cottage, Hill Lane, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. WDC - APPROVED 10/00880 - Alteration to existing domestic outbuildings including single storey extension to provide annex to house. The Homestead, Kersoe, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. WDC - APPROVED 10/00299 - Conversion of garage and 'studio' to kitchen and bedroom, insertion of bathroom and windows and excavate externally. The Old College, Main Street, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application but asks that any replacement doors & new or replacement windows are appropriate. WDC - APPROVED 10/00549 - Demolish existing garage and construct new garage. 18, Millfield, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. WDC - APPROVED 10/00776 - The Fire Damage Reinstatement Works including the reinstatement of a former eyebrow dormer window discovered following the fire. Green Oak Cottage, Mill Lane,Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. WDC- APPROVED 10/00623 - To convert redundant swimming pool to living accommodation for short term holiday let. Park Mill, Hill Lane, Elmley Castle WITHDRAWN 10/00605 - Non-material amendment to Ref W/08/02467/PP for the reduction in size of proposed stable block. Church House, Elmley Castle WDC - APPROVED 10/00173 - Change of use of land for siting of four bowtop wagons/caravans for holiday accommodation plus erection of a storage building/horse stable for storage and equestrian use. Erection of compost toilets sheds for each wagon. Plus hard standing for vehicle parking at the entrance of the site. Land off Little Comberton (added as some residents of our villages may wish to comment). The Parish Council objects to this planning application fully endorsing the comments made by Little Comberton Parish Council and the Landscaping Officer of WDC. The application neither conserves nor enhances the area. WDC - REFUSED 10/00287 - Non material amendment to planning approval W/09/00575/CU to replace proposed garage door with a window and construct a lean-to car-port with opensides to park two cars. Roof line to follow the current hip design of the main roof. Ye Olde Light House, Elmley Castle WDC - REFUSED 10/00108 - Application to vary condition 9 of planning permission W/05/1244/PP to allow ancillary accommodation to be used as holiday lets or short term lets. The Long House, Netherton Lane, Elmley Castle The Parish Council supports this application. WDC - APPROVED 10/00035 - New garage and conservatory extension. Lisdon House, Bricklehampton The Parish Council were concerned that the new garage extended in front of the building line and asked where the oil tank was to be moved to. There was also comment about the fact that the conservatory was already constructed and had been built for a number of years, so that more properly, the application should have been retrospective for this element of the application. However the application was not objected to. WDC - APPROVED 10/00041 - Single storey extension and associated alterations. Sunnybrook Cottage, Hill Lane, Elmley Castle The Parish Council unanimously supported this application. WDC - APPROVED 09/02613 Retention of toilet building. Wayside Nurseries, New Road, Elmley Castle Parish Council Comment - The Parish Council supports this application. WDC - APPROVED 09/02518 Installation of secondary glazing units to 18 windows and 1 door. - Church Cottage, Bricklehampton WDC - APPROVED 09/02102 Garden room, installation of bathroom, WC and porch, carport and garage, window and door alterations and structural repairs. - Deakins Cottage, Hill Lane, Elmley Castle Parish Council Comment: The comments on this application also apply to planning application 09/02103LB. In principle, the Council does not have a problem but the quality of the drawings made it very difficult to interpret the plans. The Parish Council will rely on the Conservation Officer & the Listed Buildings Officer to ensure that the materials used & the design proportions are in keeping with the existing building.
